Summary
Our objective was to profile and compare the transcriptomes of mechanically loaded vs. static cells in three different human cell lines: Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC), Human cardiac microendothelial cells (HCMEC) and primary human skeletal muscle cells (HSkM). Cells were mechanically loaded for 5h and total RNA was collected immediately after. The mechanical loading experiment was conducted for all three cell lines separately, with 6 biological replicates in the experimental group and 6 replicates as static controls, resulting in a total of 12 samples per cell line.
