Summary
This transcriptome analysis compares gene expression profiles in brown adipose tissue (BAT) from BAT-specific BMP4 knockout mice and their wild-type littermates under a prolonged fasting 20 hours condition. The goal of this study was to investigate the mechanistic role of BMP4 signaling in regulating lipid metabolic pathways and mitochondrial function in BAT during an energy-deficient state.
