Summary
To investigate the epithelial development of colon organoids cultured on Transwell plates, gene expression analysis was conducted at various stages of differentiation. The effects of multiple growth factors, including epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor-alpha (TGFα), keratinocyte growth factor (KGF, also known as FGF10), and trefoil factor 3 (TFF3), as well as cytokines such as interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interleukin-10 (IL-10), on epithelial development were also evaluated.
