Myeloid Piezo1 Drives Cardiac Repair Through Orai1–Rac1-Dependent Efferocytosis

GSE319694 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 10 samples 2026/05/27 GPL24247
Summary
Monocytes/macrophages orchestrate myocardial remodeling through efferocytosis post-myocardial infarction (MI). While the mechanosensitive channel Piezo1 is known to modulate calcium influx in cardiac and immune contexts, its myeloid-specific role in post-infarction healing remains elusive. Single cell RNA sequencing at 3 days post-MI revealed that the efferocytosis-associated genes were upregulated in Piezo1∆LysM group, which serve as a cardioprotective role.
