Summary
The DHODH inhibitor BAY2402234 has shown promising anti-tumor effects in various cancer types, but its molecular mechanisms in nasopharyngeal carcinoma remain unclear. This study investigates the transcriptomic changes induced by BAY2402234 in C666-1 nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. We performed RNA-seq analysis of C666-1 cells treated with 2nM BAY2402234 for 48 hours compared to untreated control cells. Differential gene expression analysis revealed significant alterations in multiple pathways, including p53 signaling, cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and ribosome biogenesis. Our findings provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying BAY2402234's anti-tumor effects in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic agent through modulation of critical cellular pathways involved in cancer progression.
